Sailing to Discover the World and Rediscover Ourself

Travel as a Way of Life

There is a thread that has pulled us toward the horizon—a wind from Sardinia that pushed us beyond the maps, through the routes of our dreams and the islands of our imagination.

We are Francesco “Ghego” Da Rios, a professional skipper  and Anna Godeassi, an internationally renowned illustrator.

Setting sail from Sardinia with a hunger to see the world, we’ve navigated through the Canaries and crossed the Atlantic to the Caribbean—from Saint Lucia and St. Vincent through the Grenadines, all the way to Grenada. From there, our journey became more intimate and untamed as we explored the islands north of Venezuela: Los Roques, Las Aves, Bonaire, and Curaçao.

Our path continued through Cartagena and the San Blas Islands, through the Panama Canal to the Las Perlas archipelago, and finally to the Galápagos.

At the heart of it all are the people. The different languages. The smiles. The waves.

Set Sail with Ghego and Anna of Altamarea!

Sailing the South Pacific

French Polynesia welcomed us with the sacred mountains of the Marquesas, the endless blue horizons of the Tuamotu atolls, and the crystal-clear waters of the Society Islands.

Then, a new route. A different ocean. Our compass pointed toward the South Pacific: from Tahiti to the Fiji archipelago, where we continue to live this adventure today. To us, it’s far more than just a trip.

Sailing is our way of being.

It’s how we inhabit the world,
how we experience time,
and how we embrace the silence.
It is a way to truly find yourself again.

Sharing the Journey

For us, sailing is also about connection.
Our sketches, photos, and stories exist for a reason: to allow those back on shore to travel with us. And who knows… perhaps they will spark a new dream in you.

If you feel the urge to explore the world with us, GET IN TOUCH.
Sometimes, all it takes is one message to change your course forever.
