Nelle ultime 24 ore siamo scesi sotto le 600 miglia all’ arrivo e nonostante il calo dell’ aliseo di questa notte stiamo continuando in rotta diretta verso St.Lucia. La notte l’abbiamo passata sotto spi con vento da NE di 10/12 nodi fino a questa mattina quando finalmente ha aumentato la sua intensità. Le ultime notti sono state più impegnative perché con poco vento è più difficile timonare, la luna ormai sorge tardi e le prime cinque ore serali sono di buio assoluto. Ieri abbiamo navigato di conserva con Orsobrillo una barca di Italiani che per tutto il giorno e la notte ha veleggiato a non piu di 3 miglia da noi. Purtroppo ieri sera una batteria dei servizi è partita buttando a terra anche le altre batterie del banco servizi, con un po’ di lavoro siamo riusciti a isolare la batteria guasta e ripristinare le altre due. Le manovre negli ultimi giorni si sono ridotte al minimo, continuiamo a navigare mura destra sotto spi.

In the last 24 hours we have dropped below 600 miles on arrival and despite the drop in the trade wind this night we are continuing on a direct route towards St. Lucia. We spent the night under the spinnaker with a NE wind of 10/12 knots until this morning when it finally increased its intensity. The last few nights have been more challenging because with little wind it is more difficult to steer, the moon now rises late and the first five hours of the evening are completely dark. Yesterday we sailed together with Orsobrillo, an Italian boat that sailed no more than 3 miles from us all day and night. Unfortunately last night a service battery went off, knocking the other batteries on the service desk to the ground, with a little work we managed to isolate the faulty battery and restore the other two. The maneuvers in recent days have been reduced to a minimum, we continue to sail right tack under spinnaker.We are at 13 29.4 N and 51 45 W
