Oggi siamo scesi sotto le 350 miglia dall’arrivo, vento permettendo dovremmo arrivare a St. Lucia dopodomani.
Questa notte il vento sempre da E-NE è aumentato fino a 25 nodi, e col vento è aumentato anche il mare ma nonostante questo la navigazione continua ad essere piacevole se non fosse per il caldo torrido che persiste durante il giorno. Oggi, dopo due giorni di inattività con la pesca, abbiamo deciso di pescare e abbiamo pescato un signor Marlin, purtroppo nel momento di issarlo a bordo si è rotto il raffio (neanche fosse una fattura inviata dall’alto), e cosi senza raffio appena è uscito dall’ acqua si è spezzato l’amo e si è liberato in tutta la sua magnificenza.
Ora siamo in 13 36 N e 55 03 W sotto spi e navighiamo in rotta per 290.

Today we dropped below 350 miles from arrival, wind permitting we should arrive in St. Lucia the day after tomorrow. This night the wind, again from E-NE, increased to 25 knots, and with the wind the sea also increased but despite this sailing continues to be pleasant if it weren’t for the scorching heat that persists during the day. Today, after two days of inactivity with fishing, we decided to fish and we caught a Mr. Marlin, unfortunately when we hoisted him on board the gaff broke (as if it were an invoice sent from above), and so without a gaff just he came out of the water, the hook broke and he was freed in all his magnificence.
We are now in 13 36 N and 55 03 W under spinnaker and sailing on course for 290.
